We have also had twenty gorgeous quail chicks hatch out like little fluffy conkers! The Following week, Marigold hatched out one chick followed by three ducklings! This was not a miracle on her part: we gave her five Silver Appleyard eggs to try hatching for an elderly friend. Of great excitement was our improvisation of a cabbage-leaf mid-rib for a neck splint to support a grotesquely skewed neck in one chick. This did work miraculously (or was it the wheat-germ oil), and now its one of the biggest quackers!
