Open sky, green fields, trees and hedges, animal noises, sweet and musty smells, memories, textures squidgy, soft, and scratchy; lots of things to stimulate on any farm for every age and ability.

Research by the Sensory Trust and through Natural England has proven many people are now very disengaged from the countryside and how our food is produced. Farm visits can help re-address that, providing meaningful impact and effective ways to help learning “outside the classroom”.

DIFFERENT THINGS TO SEE include the blue-bell woods (especially spring), sheep and cattle (lambs and calves in the spring), chalk grassland and special seeded field edges, beautiful old barns and courtyard, linking local resources with settlement. Don’t forget donkeys, hedges, the birds and the bees!
