Our next Inspired to Grow Workshop – Thursday 12th October

Join us on the farm for our third Inspired to Grow workshop, helping us with our autumn harvest and learning about nutrition, growing, as well as seasonal and sustainable food production. Growing your own is a great opportunity to have a positive impact on your own health, increase biodiversity and reduce the negative impact of food production on our planet.

This course is aimed at 12-18 year olds. On this course you will:

> Help cultivate and grow a tasty & colourful range of heritage vegetables and herbs, including sowing winter salad and garlic
> Tend to the produce that we’re already cultivated
> Harvest apples from our orchard, tasting a variety if interested, and collecting a selection for taking home to make your own crumble
> Find out about sustainable food production processes used on our farm
> Understand the value of healthy soil and rich biodiversity to food growing
> Help us reduce waste – please bring your own reusable bottle or cup, and share lifts were possible. Soft drinks will be provided
>Take home kit including seeds to grow at home and ingredient for you to make your own fruit crumble

On: Thursday 12th October at 5pm to 6.30pm
