The Lee Flower Show, Saturday 18th July
Come and find about us at our stall at the Lee Flower Show! We will have information and displays about our care farming operations and a few items for sale made by our farm helpers and others on the farm. We look forward to seeing you on the Lee Cricket field on Saturday!
Missenden Church Flower show
We attended the Sun, Sea & Summer Church Festival where we displayed a gorgeous array of summer blooms in a watering can. Our Farm Helpers at Countryways CIC have been thinking about what “Sun Sea and Summer” means to them when here at Road Farm.
This is a medley of their thoughts:
Filling water buckets for thirsty goats, hens and donkeys; seeing Moon Daisys, butterflies and bees; sitting in fields watching little goat kids frolic and play; sneezy hay fever; sun-cream smells and cooling wet hats; minty ice cubes, BBQ, pizza oven, cooking with herbs, picking fresh veg; being with friends and happy.
For us, the ocean is a long way away, but we see rippling barley across the valley and a lump of white chalk beneath our feet reminds us that once-upon-a-long-time-ago, we really were under water here at Missenden-under-sea!
