This April we are joining animal lovers from all corners of the UK in a ‘Walk for War Horse’ initiative to raise money for War Horse Memorial, the charity honouring the service of animals in war, and to fundraise towards a new field shelter for our donkeys. Our donkeys are a very special part of our care farming, providing opportunities for Farm Helpers to take care and responsibility for them, learning new skills, gaining independence and building confidence and self esteem.
Throughout April, our donkeys Joey and Shankydd are undertaking several walks, clocking up the miles and helping raise much needed funds. You might spot them walking up Cobbles Hill or along other Chiltern bridleways. Keep an eye out for us!
